Develop a networking culture

How to develop external contacts.

Develop a networking culture in your company to maximise the benefits that networking can bring. One example of this is inCreased, which can be used for business referrals, finding out about new trends in your markets and meeting people your company might want to hire. Ivan Misner, author of “Networking Like A Pro”, recommends putting networking into the job description of every employee. If it’s expected of people, they’re more likely to do it. To help them do it well, teach your staff how to network effectively for the company. Misner suggests holding focus groups where you role-play ways to ask for referrals from other customers, friends and family, and sending your staff to networking classes.
