Devise an incident response plan to take after a breach

How to develop the use of business data.

Devise an incident response plan for your business to use in the event of a cyber attack. If your data is compromised by hackers, be ready to act fast to limit the damage. Inform customers as soon as possible and no matter what the form of the attack, change your passwords. If the attack takes the form of ransomware – causing computers to lock and feature a message demanding payment of a ransom – then disconnect all machines from the network before running any recovery software. The Information Commissioner’s Office has guide to what the new GDPR regulations mean, and what to do in the event of a breach of sensitive data, such as reporting it to them and to the police immediately
