Use expert advice when you face a complex business issue

How to engage with mentors or use advice.

Research from Barcelona’s Pompeu Fabra University suggests that we often underestimate others’ willingness to help. Even if you have worked in a particular industry for some years, there is always more to learn and you should not be embarrassed if you don’t know the how to tackle an issue, believes entrepreneur Beatrice Bartlay. Find out who the go-to experts are in the particular area where you need advice, check their services and experience on their website or social media accounts, and what they recommend doing for your particular challenge. But remember that if the problem relates to an area like finance or legal issues, you may need to take specialist advice from qualified experts.
