Lead by example. Demonstrate your organisation’s values through your own actions. If you want your employees to believe in your business’s values and vision, you must show that you believe them too. Ted Devine, CEO of Insureon, tries to express that not only in his leadership style but also in the design of the company’s workplace. The company’s office is completely open plan and everyone, regardless of their role or seniority, works in the same space together. Devine believes that leaders should roll up their sleeves, work alongside their teams, and respect them. “That’s what the floor plan says to me…I’m accessible,” he said.
