Supporting female entrepreneurs in business

In association withEmployment changes

In 2019, Alison Rose, chief executive of NatWest, published The Rose Review of Female Entrepreneurship, as commissioned by the UK government. The review found that one of the key challenges for women in business is a lack of relatable sponsorship, mentorship and role models.

To help address this, NatWest has partnered with not-for-profit Be the Business to launch a free mentoring service for female entrepreneurs in the Leeds City Region and the West of England.

There has never been a more important moment to ensure advice and guidance is being drawn from as wide a variety of sources as possible and, as the key decision makers in their businesses, now is the time for women across the UK to start a conversation with a mentor.

The next few months will be critical for female entrepreneurs. With an increasingly challenging business environment, an experienced mentor that can provide impartial guidance can make the difference between success and failure.

Backed by the government, this free 12-week mentoring programme, provided by Be the Business Rapid Response Mentoring (using the Connectr platform), will give female SME leaders and entrepreneurs access to advice and guidance to build their businesses.

To take part, you need to:

  • Run an established business
  • Identify as a woman
  • Live or run a business in the Leeds City Region or the West of England Combined Authority Area
