Account creation and Learning Group registration
1.1 By using these services, you confirm that you accept these terms and conditions and that you agree to comply with them, and with any other applicable policies, such as our Privacy notice, Terms of website use and Acceptable use policy.
1.2 We may amend these terms and conditions from time to time, so please check regularly.
1.3 You are responsible for ensuring that all persons who access the site or services on your behalf are aware of these terms and conditions and that they comply with them. These terms take precedence over any other sets of terms.
2.1 You must create an account or register to use the interactive elements of the website such as action plans, or to participate in any of our Learning Groups. By submitting your registration application you represent and warrant that the information submitted by you is true and accurate to the best of your knowledge. If you are creating an account on behalf of an organisation, you represent and warrant that you are authorised to represent and bind the organisation mentioned in your registration
2.2 By creating an account you give permission for the platform to remember your first and last name, and associate that with your email address. If another user creates an action plan and invites you to collaborate or assigns you a task by entering your email address, your first and last name will replace your email address on the system, for the other users to see
2.3 We reserve the right to refuse to register an individual or organisation in our absolute discretion
2.4 If you are provided with, or set up, a password or any other piece of information as part of our security procedures during your registration, you must treat such information as confidential, and you must not disclose such information to any third party
2.5 We have the right to disable any user identification or password, whether chosen by you or allocated by us, at any time, if, in our reasonable opinion, you or your authorised personnel have failed to comply with any of the provisions of these terms
2.6 If you know or suspect that anyone other that you and/or your authorised personnel know such confidential identification codes or passwords, you must promptly notify us
3.1 When registering for a Learning Group, you are providing us with information about yourself, your organisation and your ambitions, so that we may determine your suitability for the Learning Group and allocate you accordingly
3.2 We use your organisation information to ensure competitor organisations registering for the same Learning Group are appropriately managed
3.3 By registering for a Learning Group, you agree to your information being shared with the Be the Business team who organise and run the groups, as well as the facilitators of the group, who may contact you to provide further information about the group, or to ask further questions
3.4 We reserve the right to refuse your registration to join a Learning Group as an individual or organisation in our absolute discretion.
3.5 If accepted into a Learning Group, you may choose to share you contact information with other participants. If you choose to share your contact information, or others choose to share their contact information with you, you agree not to share this information with anyone else.
4.1 We are the owner (or the licensee) of all intellectual property rights in the site, content, and any and all associated materials, including any materials provided through your participation in any of our Learning Groups
4.2 We grant to you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferrable and non-sublicensable licence to use any materials provided through your participation in any of our Learning Groups, each solely for the purposes of your business and in particular to increase and/or improve productivity and management practices within your business
4.3 All data that you input through your use of the Learning Groups and/or website following account creation will be owned by us and we may use this on an aggregated and anonymised basis for any purpose that we determine, including sharing such data with our stakeholders
5.1 We will only use your personal information as set out in our Privacy notice and in these terms
5.2 From time to time we may collect specific information about your business including, but not limited to, company name, location, business sector, turnover, number of employees and company registration number. The purpose of collecting such business information is to help us tailor the information and content presented to you. We will also use this information to gather insight as to the performance and productivity of specific business sectors, industries and locations and we may disseminate such information, on an aggregate or anonymised basis, for the purposes of publicising issues relating to productivity in businesses and to help other businesses improve their productivity.
6.1 The content on our website and any materials provided through your participation in any of our Learning Groups is provided for general information only. It is not intended to amount to advice on which you should rely and professional or specialist advice should be obtained before taking, or refraining from, any action on the basis of the content on our website and/or your participation in any of our community of practice programmes. We make no express or implied representations or warranties with respect to your participation in any of our Learning Groups and guarantee no particular outcome or result. We shall not be liable to any user for any loss or damage (including negligence) that may arise from your participation in any of our Learning Groups
